Assumptions and limitations
- Discord display names are 1–32 characters and may include spaces, special characters, emoji and non-Latin text.
- Discord usernames are 2–32 characters, forced lowercase, and limited to letters a-z, numbers, underscores and periods; two periods cannot appear consecutively.
- Discord also offers Nitro display-name styling, which is a separate native feature from the Unicode text generated here.
