What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of data that a website can ask your browser to store. Similar browser-storage technologies may also be used to remember settings, consent choices or support website features.
Necessary cookies and local storage
UnicodeWorks may use cookies or similar browser storage that are necessary for the website to function, for security, for WordPress administration and for remembering privacy choices. The light/dark theme preference is stored locally in your browser so the interface can remember your choice. Necessary storage is not used by UnicodeWorks to build an advertising profile.
Consent preferences
UnicodeWorks uses Complianz to present privacy choices and remember the consent preferences you select. This avoids asking the same consent questions on every page visit and allows you to change your preferences later.
Security and hCaptcha
UnicodeWorks uses hCaptcha to help protect forms and other applicable interactions from spam and automated abuse. hCaptcha may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies needed to provide its security and anti-abuse service. UnicodeWorks treats this storage as necessary or functional rather than analytics or advertising storage. See the hCaptcha Privacy Policy for details.
Analytics
UnicodeWorks uses Google Analytics 4 through Google Site Kit to understand aggregate website use, such as which pages are visited and how visitors interact with the site. Where consent is required, analytics storage is controlled by the consent choices presented before non-essential analytics cookies are used. Text entered into UnicodeWorks tools is not intentionally sent to Google Analytics as tool input.
Advertising
UnicodeWorks does not currently use third-party advertising cookies. If advertising is introduced later, this policy and the site consent configuration will be reviewed before those services are enabled.
Managing your choices
You can use the site consent controls to accept, reject or change non-essential cookie preferences. Your browser can also delete or block cookies, although blocking necessary cookies may affect some website or administrator functions.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when UnicodeWorks changes the services, analytics or consent tools it uses. The date above will be changed when the policy is materially revised.
