Encode text to Base64 and decode Base64.
How it works
- Text is first encoded as UTF-8 bytes, then those bytes are converted to Base64.
- Base64 decoding reconstructs bytes and then decodes them as strict UTF-8 text.
Example
- “UnicodeWorks” becomes a Base64 string that can be decoded back to the original UTF-8 text.
Assumptions and limitations
- Base64 is an encoding, not encryption; anyone can decode it.
- Arbitrary binary files are outside this text-focused tool.
FAQ
Does Base64 hide or secure text?
No. Base64 is reversible representation for bytes, not encryption and not a security control.
